Some light reconnaissance reveals undead roaming forces and their entire flocks on top of a tall tower armed with heavy crossbows. Well, the evil clergy saw the free supply of cannon feed, and in the proper ward and wings, they quickly enslaved about 40 skeletal warriors between Beiga and Sniffle. Through some taboo investigations, they lead them to buildings away from the central abandoned in, where they find the stairs leading to cold staircases like cold levels of bones.

They thrust and pry open – find elements of fire and earth and many corridors, doors, and insignificant numbers of traps. They return double and begin exploring the door closest to the entry point. Upon entering the first room, the robe of the finger's eye warns him that some people are trying hard to avoid being discovered. Alas, the fingers find him. The group is notified, and the clergy sends a dozen small groups of undead into the room, hacking hidden gnomes into bite-sized bits.
They plunder the bodies and move forward – finding a room full of mud-stained sofas, they detour and move into a large corridor. As they stand, they hear the treads of their armored feet and march in formation as a group of large (hill giants?) skeletons. The group decided to send their own troops first to soften them while preparing to deal with the final blow. Unfortunately, these big skeletons are able to override administrative control, with six party members facing 40 skeletons and six large members. The fight is pitched, but it's not that close and the group wins without much trouble.

They investigate the corridor further, revealing more doors and some stairs descending below the ground. For now, they stay on the same level and start plunging. They end up in a large corridor where armored ghosts straddling skeletal warhorse try to kill them… to no avail.

They open one of the adjacent doors and find themselves facing an undead knight. He surprises them by asking what they are doing here. For some reason, the act of speaking confuses the party's “kill kill kill” thinking, and they have a nice chat with the Undead Overlord. He offers them rich financial rewards if they help spread the sensory bones of the bone assembly into new locations. They are to go to the place – kill as many as they can find, then inoculate the corpses with bone fragments of bone clusters. The evil of the group will revive the bodies, which serve as taxation for undead forces who plan to raise in an attempt to destroy the old capitals of the ancient empire. The group has refused financial rewards and made it difficult to agree to spread the bones to those who are killing them.

They come out of the ruins and prepare for their trip. Magical mountains and clergy food and water will be seen during the next 20 days of ride as they travel from the far wilderness near the population center. They encounter strange groups of shepherds and half-many hunting camps. They kill everyone in a short time, stack bodies and sprinkle them with bone dust.

They travel, approach the coast and eventually begin to find a “village.” The first consists of a half dozen sheds and several fields, and the next is all about breweries like Smith and semi-secret security guards. In either case, the silent spell and magic missiles are strange dog magic missiles that may bare, enough to tilt the combat odds in their favor.

A month on the move, they are finally aiming for their ultimate goal. Hillfort spans the road to access the old Imperial capital. This may prove that cracking is difficult. There are three tall towers, overcoming by the Balist and perhaps 300 soldiers. A certain degree of careful thought is required to make this mission successful.
