Collecting dice is a common hobby among Dungeons and Dragons players, but most people probably don't have a digital clock in their collection. In addition to displaying the time, day of the week, and date, the Timestop D-20 includes all the dice rolling functionality you need to play tabletop role-playing games right from your wrist with the push of a button. This watch allows the wearer to roll a 4 digitally. -, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, or 100-sided dice and “Advanced Combat” features such as rolling up to 12 dice, one favorable or unfavorable D20 (rolling two dice, or fancy ways to get lower results). You'll also see a specific icon when you roll a D20 of 1 or 20, known in D&D as a “critical failure” or “critical success,” respectively. “You can take your games with you'' and even wear your watch to the office,'' Timestop says in a blog explaining its design process. “We incorporated a day and date complication into the perpetual calendar, so it was still a practical watch.” Prices start at $99 and are available in black, orange, and stainless steel. Shipping will begin next year, and if in stock, delivery will be possible in January or February. One feature the Timestop D-20 lacks is an alarm. Because, according to its creator, alarms are “not fun.” It's otherwise water-resistant, has a backlit LCD display, uses a replaceable coin-cell battery, and can last up to three years under “normal use.” I'm not sure how common Fireball spells can be considered, but they certainly offer a more unique way to play than traditional dice or digital dice rolling apps.
