Amazon Studios has released a new teaser for an episode of its upcoming video game adaptation series, Secret Levels of Dungeons & Dragons, giving us a closer look at some of our favorite DnD characters brought to life. A short 45-second clip, posted on Twitter by Secret Rebel, shows part of what appears to be a battle on a bridge between two rival teams. But more interestingly, the teaser includes details on some pretty familiar characters, including a gold dragon, Goliath, a gnome, some warlocks, and what looks like a lich riding a giant bat. It means that it is. Check out the entire clip below. Roll and discover. According to the synopsis, the show will consist of “original stories set in the world of some of the most beloved video games.” As well as Dungeons and Dragons, the series also includes Exodus, Honor of Kings, Pac-Man, Warhammer 40,000, and Unreal Tournament, just to name a few. The animated series features a star-studded voice cast, including Keanu Reeves, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Ariana Greenblatt. Interestingly, Dungeons and Dragons is one of only two tabletop games to be adapted for this show, so I’m interested to see how the studio will introduce the characters. From the board to life. Prime Video’s official synopsis reads: “During a search for a dragon cult, a group of adventurers rescue a boy possessed by an evil force.” This special episode celebrates 50 years of Dungeons and Dragons. This post also includes a link to Prime Video’s Secret Levels site and a special code. The site includes information about each episode and a portal where you can paste special codes found online. The DnD code opens a link to the Dungeons and Dragons Starter Bundle, so even if you’re new to the game, you can level up your DnD knowledge before the series ends. Find out more online. Secret Levels will arrive on Prime Video on December 10th with two new episodes each week.
