144 Class Events
This companion book contains four class ideas for each of the 36 courses in the Strixhaven: Chaos curriculum. Each event is designed to take less than five minutes to complete, allowing you to run these events for the specific players enrolled in your class without deviating too long from the storyline of your session.
Expanded Class Mechanics
Classes in Strixhaven: Curriculum of Chaos have no real impact on the story. In Strixhaven: Syllabus of Sorcery, the expanded class mechanic allows classes to have a real mechanical impact on your campaign. This section explains how you can use class performance checks to improve the pacing of your campaign, and how to tie these checks to the 144 class events that come with this companion book.
Group Points System
Reward players for success and punish them for failure. A group points system allows combat, social and exploration encounters to meaningfully impact each grade in Strixhaven. The system encourages players to be exemplary students by enticing them with honor, bragging rights and of course treasure.
Rival Systems
Encourage your party to outperform their peers. The Rival system provides rules for creating and running groups of students who are constantly in competition with your party.
