Dungeons & Dragons Gets Live Action Series on Netflix

Variety reported that Paramount+ originally had an order for the D&D series, but did not move forward due to “strategic change at Paramount” and sales of EONE by Hasbro. The Netflix project will be entitled The Forgotten Realms. Dungeons & Dragons is one of Hasbro's biggest games, featuring “humans, elves, orcs, other fantastical creatures, war, treasure hunting, and other fantastical creatures engaged in campaigns.” It has been played by over 50 million people since the game was released 49 years ago, and has had huge fans. If this series is like Paramount's 2023 film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor of Thieves, D&D fans can expect an exciting action adventure with a red-fed theme. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor als Thieves is a red-hearted action-adventure film with lots of hearts and humor. But it has scenes that include some foul language, scary monsters and magic. Nevertheless, the hero must defeat the demonic magician to save the kingdom. It is also Chris Pine's flawed but charming performance as a hero and an on-screen relationship with the hero's daughter who provides the film's emotional center. So, the heartwarming part of Dungeons & Dragons: honor among the thieves deserves a lot of praise.
