Published on December 27, 2023, last updated on March 3, 2024 D&D face down In D&D, suddenly finding yourself on the ground isn’t just a blow to your ego: the prone position poses real threats to people who find themselves on their side against their will. When a creature is prone, it’s not completely unconscious, but it is certainly in a pinch, and this state affects everything from its attack rolls to how it moves, which can lead to dangerous situations, especially if it’s surrounded by goblins with sharpened spears. What is prone position? According to the basic rules, when…
MCDM had already created two classes (The Illriger and The Beastheart) and decided to create possibly the last MCDM class before putting all their efforts into their own RPG. Talents and Psionics are something MCDM has been promising since the company’s inception. One can only assume that it took so long to release them in order to ensure they created new mechanics for spell-like powers. They needed to feel special and unique, while at the same time not being OP or disappointing. Due to the complexity and length of the document, we divide this analysis into three parts. Psionics and…
Welcome back! My fellow magicians, there is no delay. There have been many delays already. But this space is One 2 rows. Barbarian | Fighter | Sorcerer Magician The story of the Sorcerer remains the same – you’re filled with magic and there are many reasons for it (such as an event that leads you to discover your powers) – but the mechanical changes are significant. Innate magic is a new feature at level 1, a mode that powers you up for one encounter. As a bonus action, you get +1 to your spell save DCs for sorcerer spells and…

All art belongs to MCDM So, after 30 issues, Arcadia is finally finished. I’m so glad you all stuck with me. I may have skipped an issue or two for one reason or another, but nearly every issue of Arcadia has been reviewed and I have no idea how they managed to maintain such a high level of quality. My deepest respect goes to all the people who work at MCDM and those who write for them. Arcadia will definitely be one of those things I’ll return to in the future, just like I’ll return to see the 2e products.…
Released June 22, 2023 Listen to the full version of Bard Ezin’s favorite song, “Juice from the Vine,” here before the full release on June 23rd. Listen to Juice of the Vine We’re excited to premiere acclaimed composer Lorne Balfe’s Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves-inspired music, “Book of the Bard.” This new album continues the adventures we saw on screen in Balfe’s recent composition for the Dungeons & Dragons smash hit. You’ve probably heard Edgin Darvis (aka Edgin the bard) and his comrades singing their signature tune, Juice of the Vine, during their adventures in the D&D movies, and…
Monster Manuals have rules and mechanisms for 5E lycanslopy, but I always felt that something was missing. They accomplish their jobs, and players and NPCs get some statistical bonuses, basic characteristics, shapes shift, and attack options, but many flavors and interesting features are completely dependent on DM.That's why the books of a communal house with Willie Abirs were very uplifting. A wonderful supplementary rule set that enhanced the 5e Lycanthropy Mechanics has come out. Added depth not only to Lycanthropy but also to a brand new shape. It was a great addition to my favorite third -party supplements. But Wedfun did…
The Monster Manual has the rules and mechanics for lycanthropy in 5e, but I felt like something was missing. They serve a purpose, players and NPCs gain stat bonuses, base traits, shapeshifting, and attack options, but a lot of the flavor and interesting features are entirely up to the DM.That’s why I was so excited when The Book of House by Willy Abeel and friends was released as a fantastic supplemental ruleset that enhanced the mechanics of lycanthropy in 5e. It added depth to lycanthropy and also added entirely new forms. It was a fantastic addition to one of my…
Bardwogs, a talented person at the party, are challenging music confrontation to the Izakaya's in -house band. On both sides, pull some performance checks and roll. DM and Bardgen will explain the scene and have a good time, and as a result, you can stay at free night drinks and party. The exception was that the rest of the party did nothing. Certainly, fraud may be confused with the opposite band or noisy wild B people. They are side characters. Spotlights are not equally shared. What happens if the whole party pulls out the instrument and challenges the internal band? The battle…
The party’s musically gifted bard challenges the tavern’s house band to a musical duel. The two face off and make a performance check. The DM and bard explain the scene, but it’s all good fun, and partygoers are awarded a free night’s drinks and lodging. The rest of the party, however, doesn’t do much. Sure, the Rogue messes with the opposing band, and the Loud Barbarian heckles the band to disrupt them, but that’s it. They’re supporting characters. They’re not given equal time in the spotlight. What if everyone in your party pulled out their instruments and challenged themselves to a band…
