Unsurprisingly, Dungeons and Dragons is built around dungeons. Vast mazes of cold stone and handy cinematic torches are staples of this series. So what's better than a dungeon? What about the biggest dungeon ever to grace a tabletop? And that's exactly what Megadungeon: Mines of Silverdeep has! Many DnD books feature dungeons, but Mega Dungeon takes pride in making them the star of the show. Silverdeep is an absolute unit of dungeons, within which countless caves, monsters, and treasures await. That's another thing to hear about, but what I really liked about this concept was seeing the maps side by side. Silverdeep is more than just one map. It's not just a “map” either. There are five map scrolls that when unfolded are 2 feet wide and 10 feet long. This is long enough that you might end up playing the tabletop campaign just to fit one volume in, let alone five. But Megadungeon offers more than just size. It also features over 150 minis, customizable towns, expansion cards to make your dungeon even bigger, and of course, cute dice. Naturally, such substantial physical assets may not be practical for every session. Thankfully, buyers can also make digital versions of all their assets VTT-enabled. Mega Dungeon is one of those projects where we're really happy to see a thriving third-party scene. These wildly ambitious concepts can only come from the brilliant minds of dedicated tabletop geeks. Fortunately, the Dungeon in a Box team knows it takes more than passion to launch a product. The company has developed six DnD projects in the past, all of which achieved their goals and achieved solid success. Mega Dungeon: The Mines of Silverdeep is scheduled for release in December 2026. In the meantime, help us make the Wargamer Discord a megaserver for all things tabletop. Or check out our DnD Release Schedule Guide 2025 guide to see what else is in store for DnD.
